Meebit #18574 Sold for $1.4 Million

A Meebit NFT has recently been purchased by an anonymous collector for 469Ξ ($1,461,962 at the time of writing). From the creators of CryptoPunks @larvalabs, the Meebits are a series of 20,000 unique 3D voxel characters created by a generative algorithm.

The specific Meebit (#18574) is a rare alien type with special characteristics, including a trucker cap, alien invader t-shirt, and white shoes. Owners of Meebit NFTs also received an additional asset pack with includes a full 3D model of the character for collectors to render and animate, or use as an avatar in the metaverse. The sale itself puts this Meebit NFT in the top 10 most expensive NFTs ever sold.

Method Man Launches NFTs Comic Series

American rapper and record producer Clifford Smith Jr., better known as Method Man @methodman is launching his own comic universe titled ‘Tical World’, with instalments in the series being sold as NFTs. “Part 1: The Origin” features original characters, animations, artwork, as well as unreleased music.

New York artist Alex Smetsky @AlexSmetsky is helping to bring the project to life by creating a 3D-enabled digital animation depicting the origin story of Tical World. The release date for the NFT collection has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be soon.

Next, we have Los Angeles graffiti artist turned “technicolour villain”, Chavo Bizarro @chavobizarro creating vibrant, energetic artwork. His latest work titled ‘CONNECTED / INFECTED’ is a visual representation of how Chavo feels inside.
